How to Know, If the LinkedIn Requests You Receive are Automated or Not?

How to Know, If the LinkedIn Requests You Receive are Automated or Not?

“Why do you have broccoli in your name”?, is one of the first questions I always get when I connect with new people.

At first, they laugh, until they know the real reason why it is there.

Over the past years, I have spent an enormous time figuring out how the platform LinkedIn works along with its connection requests.

This goes from:

* Scraping and automation for outbound

* Tricking the algorithm for LinkedIn Content Marketing

* Building Interests sheets to run better ads on LinkedIn.

When it comes to outbound, I always wanted to know one thing: “Is this a genuine or automated connection request?”

This is why the broccoli is there.

When someone sends automated Linkedin requests, I get a notification with “hi, ricardo “.🥦

It’s a way for me to see if your connection request was automated or not.

On top of that, I added my name as a lower case, just as an extra safety mechanism.

Do you know if the requests you receive are automated or not?

If not, try adding broccoli to your name.
